Hostal Galaico - Madrid

Private parking onsite available, bright queen room with bathroom, stunning location near the city center, many popular attractions, and great restaurants nearby.

The staff were extremely gracious. The pillows on the beds are long like a body pillow. I sleep on my side so usually use a body pillow. When the cleaning staff saw after the first night that I had used the pillows from both beds, from then on, they always left the pillow from the other bed on the bed I slept on. It was a little thing, but showed they cared. Also, I arrived early and my single room was still occupied. They had had a cancellation so gave me a double room for the same price for the week so that I could get in and get on with my stay.

Hot water was sporadic but it was okay.

The Hostal was spotlessly clean. The room was cleaned everyday, I had clean towels and the bed was made up every day.

The rooms were well-kept and had all the amenities we needed, including a private bathroom, central heating, a TV with multiple channels, and a desk.

I loved being there, the place is quiet little and excellent.

Everything was excellant, beautiful location to most Galleries, the stuff where amazingly nice. The property was in the middle of the city. And it was around 10-15 minutes walk from Rosi la Loca Taberna, ate there couple of times.

I stayed in an impeccable and bright room with central heating, a multi-channel TV, and a study table. Btw, it was overlooking inner courtyard.

The queen room with a private bathroom and balcony is spotless, and the staff here are incredibly friendly and helpful in managing the on-site parking.

The people in charge of the hostel are really friendly and allways looking forward to help you if you need anything, plus the location is excellent you have a underground station near and is in Gran Via. Really easy to move around from the hostel.

Friendly staff, secure building, within easy walking distance to museums and restaurants.

The city noise level during the night was disturbing but excusable because of the city location. We finally closed the window and could get some sleep. The jalousy on our window didn't work; that would have cut down the noise a little bit.

This place is conveniently situated in a central location close to Gran Via.

this hostel has an amazing location, which is why my friends and i chose to stay there. the rooms were very clean and comfortable. but the best part was the couple that owns the place. they are the sweetest and most accommodating people that we had encountered in our 2 weeks of traveling all over spain. i DEFINITELY recommend this place.

Galaico Was the best hotel I have so far picked and stayed through Booked.net. It was indeed not a hostel but a very nice, cosy and clean hotel. Owners were so kind and helpful that we didnot have to speak the same language. I would surely recommend Galaico to all Madrid travelers.

Not a single negative side, all very nice and comfortable.

The rooms were tidy and bright with a bathroom and balcony. the location was marvelous and amazing for getting around, with a subway station near the hotel. - the venue was near the heart of Madrid.

Great hotel, super friendly staff, the friendliest i've ever met! very surprisingly clean and big rooms, I stayed in room 8, a triple room. The location is perfect, on the main Gran Via street, the street is noisy but we never slept before 6AM so not a problem at all I was really impressed and the hotel exceeded my expectation for what I paid, the only bad thing was the door of the building closes at night, the security employee has to open the building and hostal door for you would stay there every time !

no complaints NB take some earplugs if you are a light sleeper as this hotel is located on a very busy road
